Course Curriculum

The A2 level builds on foundational knowledge of French. Students will develop stronger skills in speaking, reading, and writing. They will learn to express basic opinions and describe everyday situations with more confidence and accuracy.

Module 1: Strengthening Basic French Skills

  • Review basic vocabulary from A1 and add new terms
  • Learn vocabulary related to hobbies, health, and travel
  • Focus on vocabulary for food, shopping, and entertainment
  • Learn terms for describing people, objects, and places
  • Expand vocabulary for expressing likes and dislikes

  • Practice speaking about your family, work, and studies

Module 2: Expanding Vocabulary for Daily Life

  • Learn how to form more complex sentences
  • Understand basic word order rules in compound sentences
  • Use both present and past tenses more effectively
  • Start using pronouns to replace nouns in sentences
  • Learn how to express future intentions using "aller" + infinitive
  • Understand the difference between direct and indirect objects
  • Use conjunctions like "mais", "et", "donc" for complex thoughts

Module 3: More Complex Sentence Structures

  • Learn to express preferences, desires, and needs
  • Practice giving simple advice and recommendations
  • Start asking for permission or making requests
  • Use phrases to express ability, obligation, and necessity
  • Use expressions like "je pense que", "je crois que", "à mon avis"
  • Begin describing your opinions about movies, books, and events
  • Use adjectives and adverbs to express yourself more clearly

Module 4: Expressing Opinions and Preferences

  • Learn how to talk about simple events in the past
  • Use past tenses like passé composé and imparfait
  • Understand when to use "pendant" vs. "depuis"
  • Learn about cultural contexts of French language in media
  • Watch basic French news programs and movies
  • Engage with short French texts for better comprehension
  • Learn to summarize simple texts and media content

  • Learn basic French expressions for everyday situations
